FURTHER INFO:

We try to place individuals with close ratings and in the same grade together. We try to avoid pairing provisional players with those who have permanent ratings.  Adjustment may also be made so that  individuals from the same school or club do not play each other. The most current listed rating will be used—the one found on the Thursday night before the Quads at the players Tournament History page

AWARDS:

Minimum of one trophy in each quad--four players arranged by ratings. We try to place individuals with close
ratings and in the same grade together. We try to avoid pairing provisional players with those who have permanent
ratings.  Adjustment may also be made so that  individuals from same school or club do not play each other as
long as ratings are within 100 pts.  The most current listed rating will be used. At each of the tournaments anyone

not  winning a trophy will receive a chess medal.

REMINDERS:Ê
You must arrive before 9:30 to check-in and play.  Anyone arriving after 9:30 will not be placed in a Quad if there is no legal pairing.

In Quads there are no byes.  Meaning you must play all three games.  Anyone who drops out is not portraying good sportsmenship.  They are depriving a player of a game they paid for. I have the right to ban that player from attending any more of my events if they do so without letting the Chief TS know . Of course, emergencies occur.

Those players in the under 900 section of the Quads or the under 1000 section of the Swiss do not have to record their games.  However, they must use a clock if provided.

Those players in the over 900 section of the Quads and the over 1000 section of the Swiss must record their games and use a clock if one is available.
